Hi,
We moved overseas due to my husbands job 4 years ago. When we moved we had a couple of cards but paid them off and stuck with Lloyds TSB as it had the biggest card limit and at the time did not charge us for overseas transactions. The APR was not competitive when we left about 12% but has gone up to a whopping 24% now and since November charges us for every international transaction. We want to get rid of it but due to living over here for another 6 months we can't go without any card and my husband needs it for work travel expenses these normally take a few weeks to claim back and so there is rarely a 0 balance but never more than about £3000 and we make big payments each month. Does anyone have any ideas or tips on how to ask Lloyds TSB to lower the rate or know of a Bank that will take on an overseas address. We still have our house in the UK and pay tax and insurance and his wages get paid into our UK account. I am in an ongoing battle with LLoyds over loading charges and want to vote with my feet and get another card but in our situation it seems impossible? Any ideas would be greatly received.
Thanks
