I have been caught out by not realising i would be charged interest if i made a purchase on my barclaycard. No i didn't read the terms & conditions properly. I assumed (wrongly) that i was getting a 0% interest credit card which allowed for purchases also being 0%, i didn't ask for a balance transfer only card when i was in the bank as i didn't even know such a thing existed and when i phoned to register the card when i received it i took them up on the offer to transfer a balance and assumed if i made any purchases they also would be at 0%. My question now is, if i pay off the amount i spent, (actually lent to my daughter for vet fees) plus my monthly minimum payment, plus the interest they have calculated for next month, before this months payment due date, will i then be back to 0% as i should only have the balance transfer amount left on the account.
