Hello!
Last year I signed up to annualcreditreport.co.uk on the recommendation of a friend who had been using it. Just out of curiosity to see my credit score.
It gave me little information unless I paid £5 and my friend said it was all real, a few of them used it etc. so anyway, I paid and in the end I got my credit score and thought nothing more about it.
I checked my bank, and now 1 year on, they've taken £4.97 from me. I forgot about the service. Apparently it's meant to give you free annual credit report's, so I'm not even sure of the service I'm paying for.
Anyway, the website is appalling on this, it gives you very little information about payments, cancelling your payments or subscriptions to the website or anything at all about the service it offers. I've sent an email to help@annualcreditreport.co.uk about it all.
I'm so shocked at the website, giving no information at all about the service I'm signed up for or how to get out of it that I thought I'd see if anyone here could shed some light, or has had any experience like this with them?
Are they a dodgy bunch of scammers or a trustworthy company?
Thanks!
