So, I paid off a lump off my AMEX card earlier in the month as I am travelling for work right now and need to expense things. So I took a look at the account for my Amex tonight and found that they have decreased the limit after the payment but they have not informed me of this.
Question is, are they allowed do this between statements? What If I was to have gone over limit? Would they be able to show this on my credit history and would I still be liable of any charges? That they've done this without telling me first has made me *very* angry as the only reason I cleared that much balance before pay day was so I had space on the card to use while away.
